Leveraging AI towards Water Efficiency
George Demosthenous is the Co-Founder and CEO of VODA.ai, a Scale Up Cohort 3 member and Boston-based company that helps water and wastewater utilities optimize their operations through data-driven decision-making. VODA.ai uses advanced machine learning to enable utilities to manage their infrastructure more efficiently, reduce water loss, and better allocate resources, ultimately saving time and money.
George has extensive experience in the water industry, having worked across the utility sector before founding VODA.ai. His experience highlighted the management and operational challenges utilities face which then inspired him to develop a technology-driven solution. Previously, George worked as Head of Software Product Management at Mueller Systems and was responsible for managing the software development team and product roadmap. His entrepreneurial journey began by co-founding Sani Systems and serving as a Shareholder at O2 Oxygen Bar.
Before his roles, George earned a Master’s in Management from Harvard University and a BSBA in Management Information Systems and Industrial & Operations Management from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
