Vassili Samolis is the Senior Director of Product at DoorDash, a leading food delivery company. In this role, he oversees a range of product initiatives across Promotions, Advertising, Data Products, Machine Learning, and Experimentation, ensuring that every user experience is as seamless as a well-delivered meal. He also brings his expertise to Cloud Nine Ventures as a partner, where he invests in the next wave of innovative startups.

Vassili brings into his roles a BSc in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics from Athens University of Economics and Business, a Master's in Financial Mathematics from the University of Oxford, and an MBA from Stanford University. Before his position at DoorDash, Vassili was Head of Products and Ads at Instagram, guiding teams responsible for shaping the platform’s advertising landscape. He also worked at Pinterest as Group Product Manager where he drove user engagement through creative product strategies. Beyond this, Vassili’s entrepreneurial journey began by co-founding GreatApps Ltd, one of the first iOS application builders, demonstrating his ability to identify trends before they hit the mainstream.
