Stratos Molyviatis was born in Athens. He holds a Bsc in Mathematics from the University of Athens and a Msc in Informatics and Cybernetics from the University of Reading, UK. He started his professional career as a consultant in the Financial Services Sector of Andersen Consulting in 1998. He joined Accenture, Andersen’s successor, and he worked for 15 years in core banking implementations, strategic initiatives, M&A and system integration projects in Greece, in Europe and in the Middle East.

In 2011 he became Financial Services Director at the Greek Office of Accenture. At the end of 2012 he worked as CIO in First Data in Greece. In 2013 he undertook Poland, the Baltic Countries, and in 2016 he became a member of the Board of Directors at First Data Hellas. In 2017 he served as CIO for First Data in Central, Eastern and South Eastern Europe. At the same time he was Head of First Data EMEA PMO and First Data’s Business Intelligence, as well as of DWH team. Since August 2018 he has served as CIO at the National Bank of Greece (NBG Group), responsible for Digital Transformation of the Directorates of Business Analysis, Applications and Infrastructure. He is also Head of the IT Governance sector. He has significant experience in Core Banking, Payments, IT Transformation and in innovative-pioneer IT projects in Greece and abroad.
