John Prot lives in Boston MA and is CEO of Stromasys, a niche international software company that emulates legacy servers. These servers were created 10-20 years ago based on architectures that are not compatible with modern ones and are no longer supported by their manufacturers. Much of today’s industry and military run their most mission-critical systems on such legacy servers. Prior to Stromasys, John spent 6 years at the Vassilakis Group running Goldair Handling, LGS Handling, Hertz Leasing, the Aegean Airlines IPO, and various other projects. Prior to that he spent 18 years in Finance, the latest of which at Global Finance, the largest private equity group in southeastern Europe at the time.
