George Kartakis is the Product Director at Hyperlayer and HyperJar and serves as an investor and advisor with Apeiron Venture Capital. Before joining HyperJar, he led PayPal’s Partner Product Solutions team, overseeing product launches in the Channel Partners and Marketplaces segments.

George is equipped with a MSc in Computer Science, Information Systems, and e-Business from the University of Crete. Throughout his career, George held various technical and leadership roles across industries. As a Senior Software Engineer and Researcher at ICS-FORTH, he focused on developing accessible web portals and led usability evaluations, contributing to projects like the European Design for All e-Accessibility Network. At Globo Mobile, he designed mobile solutions and managed public WiFi infrastructure projects across Greece. He also served in the Hellenic Air Force as an IT Administrator, overseeing secure Oracle applications and technical training programs. He also founded Cretelaion, a quality olive oil product company.
