Elena Pantazi Read is a Partner at Northzone, where she leads talent and portfolio development and works closely with a wide range of the firm’s investments. Since joining in 2019, she has played a huge function in building strong teams within portfolio companies and guiding founders through crucial growth stages.

Elena is equipped with an MBA from INSEAD, an MPhil in International Relations from Cambridge, and a BSc in Economics from UCL. Her path to venture capital has been shaped by a diverse career in private equity, venture philanthropy, and investment banking. Before Northzone, she was Operations Director and Head of Marketing & Communications at Bain Capital Private Equity Europe. She also served as an Investment Manager at Impetus, a venture philanthropy fund, and as VP of Research at Third Bridge, a startup she helped grow from its early stages. Her career began at UBS as an Investment Banker.
