Christina Karapataki is a Partner and Board Member at Breakthrough Energy Ventures (BEV), where she invests in innovative technologies aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions, with a particular focus on decarbonization solutions in the electricity and manufacturing sectors. She also serves as a Board Director for Quidnet Energy and an Observer for Fervo Energy where she identifies and supports companies that have the potential to impact climate change. 

Prior to joining BEV in 2017, Christina gained extensive experience as a Venture Principal at Schlumberger Technology Corporation, where she specialized in early-stage investments across energy, advanced materials, industrial software solutions, and sustainability technologies. She successfully adapted early-stage technologies for oilfield applications and held board roles for several innovative companies, including Wirescan AS, 908 Devices, Miox, and Parsable.

Recognized for her industry leadership, Christina was featured on the Forbes 30 Under 30 in Energy and awarded by Global Corporate Venturing as one of the Top 100 Rising Stars in corporate venture capital. Her expertise in corporate venturing extends beyond her investment work, as she served as an advisor on the NVCA Corporate Venture Group from 2015 to 2019.

Before these roles, Christina earned her BA and MEng degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cambridge and an MS in Technology and Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
