Veronica Allende Serra is the founding partner of Pacific Investments, Pacific Growth and Innova Capital with 20 years of experience making private and growth equity investments in the US and Latin America. Innova Capital was established in 2009 to focus on innovation and has as key backers leading families who invest globally. Early investments included leading anti-fraud platform Clearsale and cable company Blue Interactive (sold to NET). Some of Innova’s investments are Accera (supply chain software), Sigga and Movile – leading mobile content and services company in Latam transacting monthly with over 120M people. Movile owns Playkids (education app for kids), Ifood (largest food delivery business in Latam), IngressoRapido (tickets), Maplink and Rapiddo logistics marketplace. Some of Innova’s exits are Snapchat (Nasdaq: SNAP) and Trade Force. Veronica has exited in the past years leading email marketing Virid (Experian), Digital Ad agency Fbiz (WPP), data company Zipcode (TransUnion), Epigram (WPP), Esmart (B2W), Allied (Advent), KeepTrue (Avalara) and PMWeb (WPP). She also backed Editas Medicine, a leading gene editing company listed on Nasdaq. Veronica actively mentors entrepreneurs and young students. She is currently in Brex (fintech), Pagedraw (web app development tool), Vitta (health-tech), Fomograph, Biomatics, Voxus, Quasar, ToneRow, and Jampp (adtech).Veronica helped establish numerous companies, including Patagon.com in Brazil (sold to Santander) and Superbid (auctions). From 1998-2001, Veronica worked in PE for IRR LLC, and prior for Leucadia National Corporation and Goldman Sachs. Veronica sits on the nonprofit boards of Endeavor Global, Instituto Sidarta (education), Harvard Business School’s Latin American Advisory Board and the HBS Alumni Board (since 2015). Veronica was an early investor (2001) and director of MercaIdo Libre (2007-2016) (NASDAQ: MELI) and of Fundação Estudar, where she was a director for 3 years, helped start its endowment and now is an active mentor. Veronica was a Board Member of iSmart Foundation (education) from 2009-2014 when she pushed for the creation of iSmart online. In 2015, Veronica was appointed as top 25 businesswomen by Latin Trade.
