Tackling Climate Change One Building at a Time

Philippa (Pip) Brown is the Co-founder & COO of Elyos Energy, a Scale Up Cohort 7 company, disrupting commercial energy management. Elyos targets energy flexibility for buildings, enabling them to adjust power usage in response to grid demand fluctuations, helping reduce their carbon footprint. 

Pip brings significant strategic expertise from her time as Head of Strategy at OVO Energy, the largest green-energy supplier in the UK, along with a technical background from her work as Operations Consultant at Rolls-Royce, along with her MBA from Insead. As the COO at Elyos, Pip manages the operational side of the startup’s platform, focusing heavily on aligning the technology with customer needs and maximizing operational efficiency. 

Philippa Brown completed the Summer 2023 Batch at Y Combinator. She earned an MBA from INSEAD in 2023, where she was involved in the energy club as President and participated in the environment, entrepreneurship, and venture capital clubs. She also holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and Finance from the University of Auckland, completed in 2016.
