Changing the Future of AI-Driven Customer Service
Panos Karagiannis is the Co-founder and CEO of Moveo.AI, part of Scale Up Cohort 7, focused on revolutionizing customer support by integrating cutting-edge AI with live human interaction. His career began with a role as a Software Engineer at Quality & Reliability S.A., where he worked as a Machine Learning Engineer. Panos then joined UC Santa Cruz as a researcher, conducting deep learning work for natural language processing, specifically on sequence-to-sequence neural models for language generation.
In 2018, he moved to IBM, where he spent over two years on the Watson Assistant Core Algorithms team, developing state-of-the-art spell correction algorithms and integrating them into Watson’s cloud platform. His contributions included scaling NLP algorithms, enabling general availability features within Watson Assistant, and receiving both a Manager’s Choice Award and the IBM Innovation Award for his impact on AI innovations.
