Nikolaos Karapanos is the Co-founder and CTO at Futurae Technologies AG. His work at Futurae involves creating user-friendly and highly secure systems that help companies across industries protect sensitive data and streamline their digital transactions.

Before founding Futurae, Nikolaos was a PhD Candidate at ETH Zurich, where he was part of the System Security Group. His research focused on secure authentication protocols, providing him with a deep understanding of security architectures. His early career included roles at the Research Academic Computer Technology Institute, where he contributed to algorithmic developments for the Greek Ministry of Education. 

Prior to his career and co-founding Futurae Technologies Ag,g he earned his MSc in Computer Science and Technology from the University of Patras, his MSc in Computer Science with a focus on Information Security from ETH Zürich, and his PHD in System Security from ETH Zürich.
