Creating Lightweight Solutions with iCOMAT
Evangelos Zympeloudis is the Co-founder and CEO of iCOMAT, a Scale Up Cohort 4 company launched in 2018 that focuses on creating lightweight structures using advanced composite materials and carbon fiber for the aerospace and automotive industries.
Before iCOMAT, Evangelos co-founded Nima Composites, a company that made carbon fiber cases for electronics like laptops and phones. His experience spans both engineering and business, driven by a strong interest in technology. His academic experience includes degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens and a PhD in Advanced Composite Materials from the University of Bristol. He also participated in the Enterprise Fellowship at the Royal Academy of Engineering, which supports engineers in turning ideas into businesses. Today, at iCOMAT, Evangelos leads the company in developing new solutions that help industries become more efficient and sustainable.
