Shoe Savant: Transforming Footwear with Every Scan
Angelos Stavrakis is the Founder and CEO of SafeSize, a Scale Up Cohort 2, footwear technology company that uses 3D foot scanning and AI to offer tailored shoe recommendations. Angelos’s approach challenges the one-size-fits-all model, providing a personalized fit that reduces returns and waste. Under his leadership, SafeSize has entered markets worldwide, including Greece, the Netherlands, China, and Australia, and has partnered with top brands like Adidas, Puma, and Nike. Before SafeSize,
Angelos’s entrepreneurial journey began with co-founding Attention Communications, where he conceived, designed, and sold a free press student magazine. He also founded Trophea, a premium food company that promoted Greek products internationally. His earlier career includes roles as a Consultant at The Boston Consulting Group, where he helped global appliance manufacturers improve their pricing strategies, and as the Commercial Director for INTERSPORT Athletics S.A. in Turkey and Marketing Manager in Greece, where he played a key role in regional marketing and commercial operations. Angelos’s academic background in Operations Research and Marketing from the Athens University of Economics and Business laid the foundation for his expertise, further strengthened by degrees in Marketing from SDA Bocconi and Northwestern's Kellogg School. Recognized as “Entrepreneur of the Year” by the Athens Chamber of Commerce in 2023, Angelos continues to lead SafeSize in its mission to revolutionize the footwear industry.
