Dr. Alexandros Yfantis is at the intersection of engineering and environmental sustainability. An incredibly credentialed scientist with over 60 publications in leading scientific journals, he is the Founder and CEO of Sychem Group.

Yfantis’ focus is to find innovation in water and wastewater treatment systems, cathodic protection, and energy-saving technologies. The purpose of Sychem Group is to tackle global challenges related to water scarcity and energy consumption by designing and operating advanced water treatment and geothermal energy systems. Yfantis’ company solves these issues through innovative technologies like desalination, ultrafiltration, wastewater treatment, and energy-saving solutions for large-scale industries and hotels, all while minimizing energy use and enhancing sustainability.

Along with leading Sychem, he is president of the HABIO (Hellenic Association of Biogas Producers) as well as Owner of Yfantis Engineering Ltd. He holds his first diploma as a Chemical Engineer from the National Technical University of Athens and his PhD from the Brandenburg Technical University of Cottbus.
