Endeavor screens thousands of entrepreneurs each year and selects those with exceptional, high-impact potential through a rigorous, multi-step selection process, which has a typical duration of 3-6 months and involves assessment by both local and international mentors
HOW DO WE IDENTIFY CANDIDATES
1. PRO-ACTIVE RESEARCH BY ENDEAVOR STAFF
2. RECOMMENDATION FROM ENDEAVOR NETWORK
3. SELF-NOMINATION THROUGH ONLINE APPLICATION
1. INITIAL INTERVIEW
Endeavor Greece Staff conducts a one-hour interview to assess viability as a candidate.
2. SECOND OPINION REVIEWS
A series of assessment interviews are held by Endeavor mentors probing the business strategy, innovation, growth potential, and entrepreneur’s personal qualities.
3. LOCAL SELECTION PANEL
Endeavor Greece Board Members make the final decision for candidates to join an International Selection Panel.
4. INTERNATIONAL SELECTION PANEL (5 per annum)
International business leaders serve as panelists to interview candidates and select new Endeavor Entrepreneurs by unanimous vote.
We do not focus on specific sectors. We look at both ‘traditional’ sectors, such as food, agriculture or tourism and ‘emerging’ ones, such as technology, digital media, biotech/nanotech.
We search for established businesses that already demonstrate a turnover (typically between EUR 1 million p.a. and 30 million p.a.).
3. BUSINESS MODEL
We look for innovative companies based on a solid business model with growth potential.
1. ENTREPRENEURIAL INITIATIVE
Energy, passion, vision and persistence to develop businesses into successful companies.
2. ROLE MODEL POTENTIAL
Strong personal presence, leadership qualities and “story” to inspire others in their industries, communities, countries and even globally. Committed to knowledge-sharing.
3. VALUES & ETHICS
Inspires instinctive trust. Unquestionable integrity and respect for the rule of law. Demonstrates commitment to giving back to the community.
4. DEVELOPMENT IMPACT
Exhibits high-growth potential and the capacity to add substantial economic and shareholder value and create a significant number of high-value jobs.
5. BUSINESS INNOVATION
Demonstrates real innovation that has the potential to change the way an industry operates locally and/or internationally.
