Edgar Bronfman, Jr. is a General Partner at Accretive LLC, which he joined in 2002. He serves on the board of various portfolio companies including Accretive Health and AlphaStaff.
Bronfman is also Chairman of Warner Music Group (WMG), a broad-based music content company with interests in recorded music, music publishing and artist services. In 2004, Bronfman led a private investment group in its acquisition of WMG from Time Warner for $2.6 billion and, as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman, led the company’s initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange and its daily operations through August 2011.
WMG was named one of Fortune Magazine’s “Most Admired Companies” in 2007, the first music company ever to receive the honor and, in 2009, was named one of the “The World’s 50 Most Innovative Companies,” by Fast Company magazine.
Bronfman serves on the board of InterActiveCorp. Bronfman also serves on the boards of New York University Elaine A. and Kenneth G. Langone Medical Center and The Collegiate School, and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
Bronfman is married and resides in New York City. He has seven children.
